ABOUT MILK AND HONEY
Milk and Honey is a community-based non-profit (501C3) organization that provides early intervention programs for at-risk children and youth in Pensacola's inner city. Milk and Honey was founded in 1982 by Sonya Culliver in response to the needs that she recognized in our community.
GOALS
The goals of Milk and Honey are to provide comprehensive capacity enhancement services for "at-risk" children and youth in neighborhood settings to increase student performance particularly in reading, math, and computer skills and to prepare students for college and careers by enhancing communication and leadership skills. In addition, children are exposed to a variety of art, cultural, and educational facilities and experiences to expand their horizons.
MISSION STATEMENT
To help strengthen children and youth to live up to their fullest potential.
OUR SUPPORT
Our programs are supported primarily by individual donations as well as donations from area businesses and churches. Our partners in providing services include the City of Pensacola, Escambia County School District, State of Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, and United Way.
OUR NEEDS
In our efforts to serve, we never have enough-- money, time or people-power. Needless to say, we are always seeking and always grateful for cash donations, which we use to meet a variety of operational needs.
We love volunteers who are willing to give of their time and talents.
